  23. Don't know if this is the exact one, but some companies sold a piece of 
  24. plastic which cut down contrast, thereby reducing flicker.  You can do 
  25. similar things with screen colors (dark gray on light gray, say) or by 
  26. adjusting the contrast and brightness settings of the monitor.

  28. I used PageStream 2 for a long time on a 15 KHz Sony monitor in 640x400 
  29. this way.  An Amber or flickerFixer board is *much* nicer.
